Breastfeeding mamas?

Any breast feeding mamas in this group? My baby is 9 months old and he still breastfeeds. I wanted to give him 1 year but I am having some trouble with brown discharge and I wonder if it's from breastfeeding. My OB is not concerned at all. US at 6 and 8 weeks looks right on time with good heart rates. I'll get another US at 10 weeks and the NT and NIPT at 12. I just worry but my ob says she really thinks everything is ok. Just wondering if other breastfeeding mamas have similar symptoms?

My daughter just turned one and I’m still breastfeeding. I’m struggling with spotting this pregnancy but my doctor said it’s not from nursing and that I’m totally safe to nurse my baby.

I’ve never heard of breastfeeding causing spotting. I’m still breastfeeding and haven’t had any spotting but I didn’t with my first pregnancy either. You could always get a second opinion. I would think there could be other reasons for the spotting, also spotting can be normal!

I’m breastfeeding and haven’t had any spotting. I know there can be issues with breastfeeding if you are high risk. Spotting can also be normal, or caused by low progesterone.. if you think your doctor is wrong you could always get a second opinion or wean!
