Bad Birthday

I really don’t want to sound ungrateful, because I do love my boyfriend and I am grateful for anything he gets me. We’ve been together 2 years, live together and spent 3 of my birthdays together. He puts weeks and hundreds of dollars into planning birthday gifts for his dad (he bought him a $400 pressure washer). When it came around to my birthday he got stupid drunk so I had to drive and couldn’t celebrate my birthday and when I told him I was upset about it he yelled at me, tossed me a candle and a pack of socks to I assume make me feel bad. I don’t know I just think I need to vent he puts so much thought into everyone else but when it comes to me I really don’t think he does.
