How Early Did your twins get detected and did the Dr miss one twin in your first scan?!

Twins run in our family and I went in for a a possible pregnancy and it took a really long time to find a baby and the heart beat but I feel like there was another sac when looking at the screen and just have this gut feeling a baby in hiding lol maybe it’s my anxiety idk, but curious to see if anyone else had a 3/4 week scan with one baby and a later scan with two??

They were able to see my twins and get both heartbeats at exactly 6 weeks based on my LMP. Are you 3/4 weeks since conception or LMP? If you were able to see what you thought was a second sac, then a tech and/or doctor would have seen it too and mentioned it to you. A lot of people mistaken an ovary for what they think is a second baby. It does happen that twins get missed, it’s just not super common with technology now a days.

Two sacks were seen at 5 weeks. Two babies with heartbeats by 6 weeks. I’m scanned often due to being high risk.

Yes my twins only had gotten found at 7 weeks I did a scan at 5 weeks and I saw the second one but it was smaller so they said no if it was twins they would be the same size (I ovulated and implanted twice on different days so they were days apart so no not the same size) then my 7 week she missed it and I was like “oh wait go back go back” and she did and there they were... twins... which I conceived in December and lost in March
