Can my baby have yogurt?

I've always been confused about the dairy thing. Can my 6 month old have it? I know he shouldn't have milk until he's 1 but yogurt is different 🤷‍♀️ I know they make dairy free yogurt but I was wondering what your suggestions are! Types/brands of yogurt, or should I wait??

They can and should eat dairy (as well as other potential allergens) early on and often. It helps reduce the risk that they’ll become allergic to those things. 
It’s just cows milk that they shouldn’t have until age one

They have baby yogurts that are easier to digest if you are just starting it with your baby.  Gerber makes some as well as a few other companies.  But if you are not sure about it you can always talk to your baby’s pediatrician

Yes! Whole milk is best. They also make baby yogurts. 
Plain Greek yogurt with fruits mixed into it is best!

Trader Joe’s has some great whole milk yogurts. My 6m old loved them. Good luck.

We do Greek yogurt and my LO loves it.  It also has probiotics so that's a plus

We gave it with no issues. Just not the ones sweetened with honey.

They make baby yogurt. My kids ate it at 6 months and loved it. There’s a few different brands but I preferred gerber
