Will my son sleep through sister crying

We just had a second baby, My room and my sons room are very close. I’ve been sleeping downstairs so we don’t wake him, but I miss sleeping in my own bed. Are kids pretty good sleeping through the noise? He does have a sound machine

Kids will surprise you with what they can sleep thru. Your Nov baby might wake up the first few nights, but he’ll get used to the new household noises and will have no problem sleeping thru his sisters crying.

I have a 4 month old, and my November babe was not at all bothered by any of the crying. But we’ve always had the sound machine and she’s always been a heavy sleeper...sleeps through the dog barking, housework, etc

My 2 year old is a very light sleeper and he sleeps through it just fine! The rooms are right next to each other (both doors shut) and I’ve never seen my son even move from the noise let alone wake fully up

I just had my second too and we just close the door to our bedroom at night so she can’t hear babes cries in middle of night. We have monitor on full blast so we can hear anything in her room.
