TTC while breastfeeding?

I am currently 5 months pp. I am exclusively breastfeeding & have not gotten my period back. My husband & I would like to get pregnant again
Is it possible to get pregnant without getting my cycle back yet? I’m assuming yes, but have read tons of conflicting information. I would assume that ovulation occurs & then implantation before a “missed period”
If you got pregnant while breastfeeding, how old was your baby? Did you get your cycle back before conceiving? & what, if anything, did you do to increase your chances of conception?

I am almost 10 months pp and have been having unprotected sex since June. No pregnancy and no period.  With my first we stopped preventing at 10 months pp and did not get pregnant for over a year.

It is possible. But for me I nursed my daughter till she was 11 months. Got my period at 9 months. So I technically ovulated at 8 months but didn’t get pregnant. You will have no way of knowing when you ovulate before your first period unless you test everyday. And you could start testing now, but might not for several months till your period is ready to come back. We just waited till I got my period to start trying. Some women get it back but I didn’t get mine back till she was sleeping through the night at 9 months and wasn’t night nursing and I wasn’t dream feeding her
