So I’ve been flirting around with a cirtian Co-Worker of mine and I’m worried to take it past a curtain point because I’ve heard about and seen relationships fail in the work place and it’s always a mess and super awkward for everyone. We both love our job and the people we work with and even though I think we’d be great together I worry about it not working out and loosing that silly, fun, exciting friendship. Tips? Advice?

I married my coworker, and we have a baby now! I wouldn’t change a thing because he’s the love of my life, but I know it did make it awkward for others. It’s not very professional.

I'm engaged to and having a baby with my former boss we worked together for 2 years before we started dating and then worked together for a year after we started dating. I did not leave my job because of our relationship but we no longer work together

Some workplaces don’t allow employees to date as it can distract you from getting your jobs done. 
I dated a workmate for a couple of weeks once. We literally did nothing together but there were a different rumour about what we had done (usually sexual) each time i went to start a shift. I felt like we had no privacy. I really liked the guy but we both decided that we couldn’t deal with being the workplace gossip and decided not to continue dating.

I would say it depends on whether this is just a job you’re at to make money for the time being, or if this is your career. If it’s a career for you and a job you want to be as professional as possible at, I’d advise against it.

I was my husbands supervisor 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as you both are mature about it and agree that if it ends that it needs to end peacefully for the sake of having to see each other at work then it should be fine.
