Doctor wants to insert IUD while I have BV?!

Question

So I’m supposed to get iud tomorrow. I’m 11 weeks pp and at my checkup a week or so ago I had BV. My doctor doesnt want to treat it because my discharge doesn’t smell? So she wants me to get an iud placed tomorrow while having BV. Won’t that cause the bacteria to enter into my uterus and potentially cause further problems? Should I just cancel and ask to get treated first?

Thats crazy. Youre the best advocate for your health. Up your probiotic intake. Either take pills that are 25-30 billion stains .... take 3 a day or eat plain white yogurt to help repopulate the vag with the healthy bacteria so bv will go away!   
     And that form of bir control has been linked to vaginal bacterial infection so im surprised she just wanted to insert it any way🧐. Sounds like u have a mild form just eat probiotics

BV always needs treated with antibiotics. Symptoms may go away on their own, but the infection does not. You doctor should know that...? That seems off to me.
