Thoughts on tying tubes?

I’m really torn. I’m 23 and pregnant with my third baby. I’m due in June. My husband was also planning to get a vasectomy (yes we’re both getting fixed, doesn’t matter why). But today I told him I’m potentially going to want a fourth so I don’t want to make any permanent decisions but at the same time, I don’t know if I want a fourth baby. I’m scared. Do I opt to get them removed at 8 weeks postpartum? Or hold off and decide if I want more or not?

If you’re not 100% positive, then you absolutely should not do it. Let him get the vasectomy, but don’t get your tubes tied

I’m 90% sure I don’t want anymore babies after this one. But, I want to be 100% sure. We will do a less permanent birth control method for at least a year after this birth. Once I am 100% sure, my husband will get a vasectomy.

Personally I wouldn't get your tubes tided because its messy and causes issues with females hormones. Also you can't reverse it. Guys vasectomy can possibly be reversed, at least more reliably.

I wouldn’t do it since your unsure. Then also it makes your periods a 1000 times worse!! Bad cramps and heavy bleeding! I had mine done for 2 years and had to go back and have them untied cause it was so bad now my periods are back to normal.

Don’t do it if your unsure. You can always get it later. Most Insurance companies do NOT pay for reversals.
