When l was 18 l was convicted of 4 felonys. Two unauthorized use of a vehicle and two eludes. I was going through a lot at 18 but still no excuse. Now l am 21, have two children, just became a Certified Nurses Assistant. I'm doing well. I even passed the background check to be certified as a CNA on the Illinois State health registry. Now l am trying to apply to jobs as a CNA but they always ask about my criminal history and perform their own background check....even though l am licensed to work as a CNA and passed the State level background check.Then based on their discovery they don't hire me. It frustrates me as its something I'll most likely have to bear the consequences of for the rest of my life.How can l get a job with the training l worked so hard to earn?
