Requesting your *personal* opinion

So it is a work/covid thing.

I am 6 weeks preggers & very excited. I work at a large manufacturing company. I have been very anxious about covid since March (I have bad asthma) . We just recently begun working back in the office on a rotating schedule. I was ok with this due to the very low number of cases in our area ( around 94 active cases), so the chances were some what minimal.

I just learnt today, we are bringing in two contractors to install a machine at our facility. One group of contractors are from Germany, the other group of contractors are from another province.

Both groups are “exempted” from the quarantine/isolation requirement. Meaning as soon as they land in our town, they come to our building and begin work.

They will also be returning home for Christmas , and the coming back , again without isolation or quarantine requirements.

My anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF with this information. I really do not want to be in the same building as these guys. I can do my job from home, I have for three months before they started ya back on a rotation.

I WANT TO ASK IF I CAN WORK FROM HOME!am I being dramatic? Can I ask my doctor for a note ? What would you do? I don’t want anything to happen to my little baby OR ME !
