Pest control coming: should I take my most important papers and laptop?

I’ve never had this done, idk if it’s smart to just take that stuff with me, I would prefer to not have it in my car/on me, but I also know strangers will be in my home today. Thoughts? Experiences? Also any tips? I have a 1y/o that’s still crawling and it makes me sick to think of the chemicals they are using 😭. Thanks!

Are they going to be in your house alone? I didn’t think they could do that. You can take it, but if it goes missing you would obviously know who took it. Is there a way you or someone could be there? Maybe think about installing cameras in your home. You can leave a note on the door stating that your home is monitored by cameras.

I’ve had pest control for years and no company I have ever used would allow their employees into a home with no owners present. Huge liability. Are you sure they know you weren’t planning on being home? If you are doing a routine pest control visit you don’t have to leave. I sit in my living room with my dogs while the guys go from room to room. Takes 10 minutes. They don’t use airborn toxic sprays. Unless you are getting your house bombed I don’t see why you would leave.

When they come to my apartment building I hide things such as computers etc in places people wouldn’t normally look and I haven’t had any problems with anything going missing so if you have places like that you should do that or take the items with you.
