Can this be perimenopause or menopause?

Hello everyone,
I started worrying that Menopause has already started  because of the symptoms. I’ll see an obgyn in a month. I started feeling hot flashes last month, my period was lighter 2 months ago, last month it was normal but I was having severe anxiety, hot flashes, dryness down there, no interest in sex at all which are unusual. Also irregular heartbeats. Never missed periods but sometimes they are short and light and then normal again. These symptoms are relatively new to me and I wonder if this can be already menopause or peri menopause? Can menopause be like this and just stop unexpectedly? I’m 38 and still have no kids but hope I can have kids before this is over. I really hope it’s not over yet and I still have time to have babies. This is so heartbreaking 🥺😔 Can it stop just like this or it takes time? What are the chances to have babies? Thanks

My Mum was premenopausal at 36 when she had me, it doesn’t sound like you are. That being said you need a doctor to confirm it. You can still get pregnant when premenopausal, but it will be a tricky pregnancy and you’ll be at high risk of miscarriage.

Menopause is defined by one year without a period, so you’re not there yet, there is a supplement that you can take for the hot flashes, it’s called black cohosh 540 mg, you can find it in the vitamin aisle in any pharmacy section of any grocery store or pharmacy make sure you get the one that’s only one, and not three a day it’s a pain in the ass, fixes the problem. Your period can fluctuate from 35 on, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in perimenopause, that’s your hormones, that’s age, and since the virus started my cycle has been all over the place, late, early, twice in a month since it was 9 days early. 10/15/20 days late. I’m 42. No kids. 2 miscarriages. I have accepted that this is my norm. I don’t stress it. If I’m in pain ￼then there is cause for concern. Some women in their 20s even experience hot flashes as a normal symptom for PMS or their cycle, could be PCOS, endometriosis, cysts, hormonal fluctuations, thyroid, you name it. Call your GP and request day 3 FHS and LH and E2 testing go for progesterone as well day 21. If you can also do antral follicle count and AMH. Yes it can be perimenopause and menopause even. At 38 for my IVF my FHS was 13 which is high which suggested that I do not have much left until hit perimenopause as my ovaries needed more stimulation. My AMH and antral follicle count were good for my age. I would advise you to either freeze your eggs or go for ivf ASAP if your FHS is high and AMH low. Just to get an idea how bad things can get fast after 38 egg quality wise, we went through 3 biochemical pregnancies for 10 months with 2 ivf cycles. I was 38 for first. Now 39 for second. Lost lots of time due Covid. Regretting the fact that I did not freeze my eggs at 38. Going to be 40 in January for our last ivf attempt. And yes a woman can go in menopause over a month it is called sudden ovarian failure. Happened to person I know at 35. Her period just stopped out of blue. She had 4 kids by then so she was done anyway. I have none though so if this happens no biological kids for me. You need hormonal resting to know where you are at. Before testing AMH make sure you are not deficient of vitamin D as it will lower your AMH arteficially. It is vitamin that aids hormones so when it is low hormones act up and ovaries pull less eggs from rezerve.
