Anyone else's periods so inconsistent in the beginning?

My period is due tomorrow. Since late Monday afternoon I've had spotting. Not unusual. It was a little heavier yesterday so I'm like OK I'll be early this month. No big deal.

This morning it was got a bit heavier and was a little brighter in red. Now it's completely gone.

I know it's probably just going to show up tomorrow as usual but it just irritates me that it doesn't seem to know what it wants to do.
