Baby has a cold: Need advice

Mommies. Desperate need for help.

My son is almost 7 months old and currently has the cold. I have done the following;

-saline spray and suction very often

-humidifier close by

-chest rub

-steam bath

His nose is clear right now but I can hear his chest still congested. I have tried the swing and bouncer on vibrate to mimic percussion effect but no luck.

I never thought it would be so devastating and stressful seeing your kid sick but here I am.

Anything else I can do? I've called his doctor's office but they just seemed not so bothered by it and told me to just call if it lasts more than a week or so.

He just seems miserable. I'm scared to even sleep because I'm afraid he'll be too stuffed up and can't breathe.
