Stopping breastfeeding

My baby is 2 months old and I’m thinking about switching to 100% formula. But I don’t know when to do it and how..

So far I’ve been doing breastmilk + formula.

Since day 1 breastfeeding has been difficult: my milk came on day 7, so we formula fed since birth. Then my breasts are really small, size A, and they didn’t grow at all during pregnancy (I blame hypothyroidism); the baby always had a great latch, but would empty my boobs in no time, it is uncomfortable for both of us since I have to hold him so close to me - really pushing towards my nipple: with time he got cranky, angry, every feeding he’d scratch my boobs, cry, unlatch every 5 seconds, etc. And then would cry inconsolably with a bottle.

I know everything about the benefits of breastfeeding, and that’s why I’m still doing it, but it causes bad mood in both me and the baby. I pump when I can - 2-3 times a day, and it works, but I can’t pump for every feeding or freeze anything because the maximum amount I pumped was 60 ml from both boobs .. but I felt it’s better than no breastmilk at all.

Now I see that it doesn’t lead anywhere : he eats 90-110 ml each feeding, and I can’t produce that much. So we give him boob (he gets angry and agitated) + formula or pumped milk + formula.

And he’s getting more aware of boob vs. bottle.

Should I try to wean him now or try to go on with breastfeeding? I’m afraid when he’s older it will be more difficult for him and me to wean him off.

Any advice ?
