Nursing for hours

We are finally through the regression and my baby has been sleeping pretty well through the night but bedtime is still a struggle. I start her bedtime routine before she’s tired & by time I’m nursing her to sleep she’s yawning and rubbing her eyes but wont fall asleep. I nurse her to sleep for her naps and she’s out within a couple minutes but at night it takes around 2 hours. She will keep peeking her eyes open and slapping my chest and she will suddenly unlatch and freaks out and cries and won’t accept the boob until shes ready.

Why does she do this?
