Spotting cycle day 25 clomid

Hi guys my husband and I have been trying for 3 years now. This past cycle was my first round of clomid (all our tests came back fine just using clomid as a booster) I was cramping day 23-26 and had darkish brown spotting on cycle day 25 and then nothing else. I’m supposed to start AF in two days and I really don’t want to get my hopes up because I am cramping and feel like I’m going to start but the spotting is what really threw me off. Anyone have any experience?
