When should they start transitioning to sippy cups?

I honestly haven't given this a thought but a friend asked if I had started using them yet. First time mom here and I really have no clue when to do that. Mine uses the dr brown's bottles now (sometimes he can actually hold it himself). I know dr brown's has a transition cup but not sure when to start it. Any advice is appreciated.

Honestly the smartest thing we ever accidentally did was teach my oldest how to drink out of a straw. She never got the concept of tilting her head back to drink out of a sippy cup. But straws are so easy and you can bring your own to restaurants etc.

You can start around 6 months

Probably once shecan hold it herself so around 6 months. I got her a nuk one too start,  I remember those being easy for my son to get the grasp of. I have it to her the other day and she immediately started sucking on it 😆 there wasn't anything in it but she figured it out pretty fast.

We never really used bottles. I’d use my time and FMLA to stay home until around 4-5 months and EBF, but we started sippy cups around the time I went back to work. We liked Nuk sippy cups the best with all of our kids.
