Cats and babies?

Question

Okay so who all has cats and babies? I’ve still got a longgg way to go before my baby is here but is there any way to get my cats adjusted? Any steps I should be taking to prepare my cats for living with a newborn. And before anyone says, I cannot “get rid” of my cats. They’re my children too. They’re all very lovable, but also all young so still very playful. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Fur babies are definitely children!   
If you are needing to shift or move the cats' room then start early so they can adjust. 
Start to pay less attention to them now, although if they are like my cat they don't care already. 
Make sure your cats know hands and feet aren't toys.  
Some of the items in the picture are more for dogs, but many still apply.

My lil guy loves giving me cuddles and attacks my husband if he come near 😂 not going to be too stressed about it, animals have an instinct they know when its a baby or not...or at least that’s what I’ve experienced with my kitty. He is gentle or unbothered when children are around and doesn’t go into “predator” mode when playing

My cats are wonderful with my little man. He’s almost 10 months so he’s curious & likes to follow them around & “pet” them...
Someone told me when I was in the hospital to have someone take home the blankets he was first wrapped in & set them in the places they rest so they can get to know baby’s scent...I think it helped! I’ve had my female cat for 10 years & she’s adjusted very well...I make sure to give her extra love & treats whenever I can! My male cat I’ve had for about 3 years & he’s very aloof to everything lol so he couldn’t care less about the baby... 
They both just run away & hide if they’re annoyed with him. They’ve never tried to jump in his crib. The only thing my female cat did was lay in the baby’s boppy that has the center & lay in his bouncer (he wasn’t in them obviously) haha I think she just thought all the new comfy stuff was for her 😹

I’m not sure about introducing them. It depends on your cat’s personality a lot. My cat is skittish so it won’t be a problem until my LO can chase her lol
BUT
Cats LOVE baby beds, especially when there’s a warm baby in there ( you know how cars are). Be extra extra careful about leaving doors open to baby’s rooms because a cat might suffocate her. 
And while you’re pregnant, don’t clean their litter trays, that’s bad for baby too and might cause miscarriage.
