I think I want the IUD out

I got the IUD placed 4 days ago. I’m having the expected cramping and spotting, which is okay. And I am happy to be able to have this is for 5 years. But now I’m starting to think about the possibility of ectopic pregnancies or it dislodging and it’s starting to freak me out. I’m a little afraid of having sex for the first time because of the unknown, like it hurting terribly. I just want a reliable BC method with the least amount of major side effects. I also want to limit the chance for blood clots. I can handle the spotting, cramping, and some mood swings. But the terrible side effects of the iud can lead to surgery! 😳 And I don’t want that!! Should I switch to the shot again? Or go on the pill?
