Should I see ob early? Pregnancy post ectopic.

I had an ectopic, pregnancy of unknown location, back in August/September. I just found out that I’m pregnant again. I’m about 4 weeks and my first ultrasound is when I’m 8 weeks on December 8th. Should I call my ob to see if I should come in for blood work to make sure my levels are rising appropriately? 
With my ectopic, I knew something was wrong. Intuition maybe? With this pregnancy I feel more confident about it, but of course the fear is still in the back of my mind. Idk what to do. 🙃

I had an ectopic in May and my doctor told me next time I got pregnant to let them know right away and come do blood tests to ensure it’s not a repeat. I’m 5w3d today and got my blood tests last week showing my levels progressing correctly.

Regardless what the Situation is you should ask your doctor to see you early my OB was able to see me early and I’m now doing weekly ultrasounds until after first trimester.

An ectopic is different from an unknown location. But yes, you should get in with your obgyn and have your hcg drawn every 2 days. And don’t take no for an answer regardless of their policy. Tell them your history. Ask to speak to office manager or medical assistant. And assuming your levels are doubling correctly, that would seem to be a viable pregnancy and once the numbers hit 1,000-2,000 they should do an ultrasound to confirm the baby is in the uterus. 
Been through this myself. Pretty much know the routine now. Lol. Good luck.

The doctor is supposed to see you earlier. You’d be considered high risk. I’ve had miscarriages and as soon as I’m pregnant my doctor has me come in that week for bloods n ultrasound. I’m in NYC. Some doctors just don’t care. Make sure you’re comfortable with your doctor and that he/she understands your concerns. I love my doctor.

You can always ask. They may chose to not see you early not you aren’t experiencing any cramping or spotting. Who knows?
