Should I get this apartment ?

Okay so I’m 21 I still live with my parents but this is a new construction building they did close to my house 🏠 but the thing is it says I need to pay for gas and water electricity they don’t pay for it it really nice and convenient but I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ and I really need to move out because I’m not living in best conditions here guys it’s in union city New Jersey it’s really expensive here I don’t like it much here but I’m not ready to move state yet it’s really hard too find a nice decent apartment here sometimes you pay $500 to live with someone else in a house and you just pay rent for a little room and have to share a bathroom with people that’s why I also would like to move to Texas it’s cheaper but a move is expensive to move out of state.

That’s a small apartment for it being a 2 bedroom. My 1 bedroom is about 917 sq ft.

Is that a normal price for where you live? Here a 2 br 1 bath apartment would be like $500-$700 depending on where it was an how nice.

Girl I own a house and it’s not even that expensive!! I pay $975 for a MORTGAGE don’t waste that money monthly on something you won’t be able to own.. and also think about how you will also have $500+ in other bills once you include gas, electric, water etc

That's is a very expensive apartment. If you don't HAVE to move out, I wouldn't. If you can move, I would save up a bit and move. You will be much better off in the long run. You could move to Texas for less than one month's rent, I bet.

700 sq feet for 2 bed 1 bath is tiny.  $1700 + utilities is expensive. That's more than my mortgage and I'm in Chicago which isn't a low COL.  Unless you could comfortably afford that on your own I'd pass.  Way too small to have a roommate to try and share expenses

Can afford that every month plus all the utilities on top of your bills?  Do you pay rent where you are? Personally I would save that $1700+ each month and move away in 6mos or longer (save to buy a house).

It sounds like you can’t afford it. You need to pay utilities pretty much everywhere you live. Sometimes it’s included but that’s if you’re lucky. $1,700 for 700 sqft. With no utilities is too much. Keep looking.
