Advice about my ob ..
So with my first pregnancy they wasn’t this bad but I’m now pregnant with my second child and they are SO rude. I’ve been wanting to switch .. definitely after I made a post on Facebook about the ob and all these women started commenting their stories with them and how horrible they are.
Today really did it though.,
I have gestational diabetes , I know I’m high risk and that there could be a lot of complications.
I’m definitely stressed and scared about labor.
My last appointment they tried putting me on metformin but I told them I didn’t feel comfortable taking it again because it made me really sick with my first (which it’s known to do) and it also crosses the placenta. So I told them I’d be willing to try insulin since I heard that’s the safest option with less side effects. She told me “throwing up isn’t a allergy so I need to try it again “ as if what I said to her didn’t mean anything.
Well they ended up sending me somewhere a high risk doctor and they prescribed insulin but pharmacy has given me trouble picking it up so I called the place to tell them and they said they will call them and see what’s going on.
I haven’t heard anything
So when I went to my ob today she already didn’t look friendly walking in ..
she barley let me talk , kept interrupting me when I was explaining it to her , acting as if I was lying about the pharmacy situation, said I’m not doing my part .. etc etc.
I broke down crying because it’s like I have to keep my guard up going in there and her just being so rude today I couldn’t handle it.
I’m 33 weeks and 5 days .. I really want to change my ob. I can’t take it anymore
They’re suppose to be professional , definitely not act like that.
I wanted to talk to her about other things but she acted like she didn’t even want to answer questions and the one thing I did bring it up it was just answered very quickly and just seemed like she didn’t care.
Is it okay to switch OBGYN’s this late I’m pregnancy definitely being high risk? Please let me know.
