Can’t orgasm

Hey ladies. I need help

I have never orgasmed and I have never been close to one. Every time I try and touch my clit and play with myself my clit gets irritated and it isn’t a good feeling and I don’t know why. Am I going something wrong and do you lady’s have any tips for me? The closet I have gotten in lying on my stomach with my undies on and pressing both hands up against my vagina which gives me a little tingle But thats it and everyone I am not satisfied.
