ICP itching

Can any one describe the itch if they have been diagnosed with ICP? I have slight itching all over for about three weeks off and on. Like I’ll notice I haven’t itched for hours and then I start itching. Idk if it’s me thinking about it. I don’t have to itch until my skin is falling of I barely touch it it goes away. Hasn’t been bad enough for a Benadryl or anything I don’t stay up at night. Thoughts??
