Sexual abuse Uncle

I’m so frustrated right now. The police have been NO HELP at all!! I almost regret telling them anything.

What my uncle did to me is so vivid in my head, and it’s so frustrating to remember this and think about the amount of evidence just BLATANTLY there. I’m trying to be understanding towards the police, as it is a historical case, but it’s been 2 years for my cousin and I, waiting for ‘justice’.

He sexually abused me from age 6/7 - 14.

My dad has screenshots of him admitting to a bit of it. There’s ipad evidence of him sending me nudes while he was performing Hajj (Makkah) (yep, ironic isn’t it), and my testimony, aligning my cousin’s own testimony also. I would always have panic attacks when older men would hold me, even with no ill intent.

My uncle also at first, said to his solicitor (of course delaying the whole process by not providing his information or side of the case) that he was at the gym the whole time. (For the whole 7 years?!) ridiculous statement.

Then he recently changed it to ‘I was abroad the whole time’. The police told me they contacted the border control to get the information, which helps my case. But it still, hasn’t been sent to the court (CPS). My patience is really wearing thin, especially how they told me there are priority cases. Not a good feeling :( the UK police aren’t reliable at all.
