Will a pregnancy test work?

I've been taking pregnancy tests throughout the first trimester and feel the need to continue into 2nd just for peace of mind. 
Will they work, or will I get a false negative? Is my body still producing HCG and is it coming out in my urine?

If you miscarried now,or baby’s heartbeat stopped beating,you will still have positive tests (if you diluted with water cause of the hook effect) for at least 1-2 months...so there is really no point of testing
