Anyone else actually WANT to be induced?

I feel like I only ever read about moms wanting to give birth naturally and without medication. I feel like the odd one out cuz I would much rather schedule for induction(which they don't like to do where I am, but we are because of gestation thrombocytopenia and I'll be induced at 39 weeks). I've also never even considered NOT having an epidural until my doctor told me it might not be possible for me to get one. Am I the weird one?

I had a great induction experience with my first & def want another one so I can arrange care for my daughter . We are a military family and live in the middle of nowhere so my mom wants to make arrangements to be here. Also my husband leaves early Jan for 6 months so I def want to be induced early so he gets time w baby

Nope I’m getting induced at 38 weeks no medical reason why other then I’m not wanting to give birth on Christmas Day! I’m all for give me all the drugs to make the experience less painful haha!!!

I got induced with my first. Got admitted on Monday she wasn’t born until Wednesday and left the hospital on Thursday. I want to give birth naturally because I’ve been induced and hoping it won’t take as long

My doctor scheduled me for 39 weeks for a c sections. I’m hoping she will agree for me to go in even sooner because I’m in so much pain the way this little girl is laying and I’m getting concerned about the sudden on set of preeclampsia like I had with my son, since the swelling in my legs and hands have started already

I had an induction with my first due to IUGR and that was dang near 18 years ago come February. The trauma is still burned into my mind. With my second 14 years ago I went into labor naturally at 39 weeks after a membrane sweep. I would wholeheartedly prefer a natural labor, but here I am at 38 weeks and just wanting to not be pregnant anymore. I’m a nervous wreck all the time over the Covid stuff and I feel like every day I’m pregnant I’m risking going into labor and testing positive for Covid. I’m also struggling with the weight I’m carrying, my feet and hands are so swollen and I’ve packed on 5 lbs in one week (they are now monitoring me due to the sharp gain in one week). Today they did a sweep on me and I’m hoping it speeds things up. I’m scheduled for an induction on Dec 1st.

Yes! I feel like the weird one too but I am ALL about getting induced. I was induced with my 1st and 2nd and we're planning one for 39 weeks this time. If he comes naturally before that then that's great but if not...Induction it is! 😊
