“God Help the Child” by Toni Morrison

Has anyone here read this book?

I just finished reading it and I want to talk about it with people.

What is Booker’s rave? Did I miss it or did Morrison purposely not mention it at all? Is it important at all to the storyline?

Why did Morrison portray violence the way to reveal love to someone? Self-harm in the way Booker escapes everyone in his life because of Adam. The way Bride confronts Booker.

Some thoughts I have for now but if someone else read it please talk to me!
