So I have heard of the opks used to test for pregnancy so I when for it my self☺️🤗 I was quite surprised to see that it was positive

Poke do NOT determine pregnancy, that is not true at all. You can not use an opk as a pregnancy test. Only a pregnancy test will tell you if your pregnant or not. IF you have a positive pregnancy test an opk will be positive because hcg and LH are sister hormones, but not the other way around. LH surges multiple times throughout your cycle and most get another surge before period.

I always have positive OPKs right before my period- and I know I’m not ovulating then. It’s common to have an LH surge right before your period.
Also, if the test is strong enough to be positive for LH, it’s strong enough to show up on a pregnancy test too
