Placenta Previa - super scary hospital trip
So last night my husband and I headed over to the emergency room after I started bleeding. I’m 13 weeks 2 days. I hadn’t experienced any bleeding at all this whole time so this was super scary. I had part of my cervix removed in 2018 so I am at high risk for cervical incompetence which is what I feared was going on.
When we got there they took tons of ultrasound pictures. The baby is healthy and was bouncing all around. They did find the cause of my bleeding though. They told me it was called partial placenta Previa. The doctor said most of the time it resolves on its own.
I googled it of course and it never said anything about heightened chance of miscarriage but the nurse that came in to give me the rhogam shot mentioned that when I asked her questions about it. My husband said she didn’t seem like she knew what she was talking about. My discharge papers and the two doctors I saw never mentioned it either.
Any ladies have experience with this? We’ve been through a lot to have to baby so any little complication is super scary.
