What made you have to breast pump? How did you make it that far, and what made you finish?

7 months and stopped when I had 4,000 oz in the freezer which was more than enough to get my daughter to a year. My daughter didn’t latch well and later on she ended up being diagnosed with a lip tie. I started pumping on day 2, by day 4 when we went to the pediatrician and I was so exhausted from trying to get her to latch, then pump and bottle feed what I pumped then topping up with formula until my milk came in every 2 hours and she was still loosing weight that I decided to exclusively pump. I started with a good schedule of every 2 hours around the clock, then as my supply built I was eventually able to space my sessions out a bit, I pumped 30-45 oz per day so I was able to freeze so much.

I only lasted 3 months, but found out she has a milk protein allergy. I tried to eliminate milk and dairy from my diet, but it didn’t work. She is now almost 4 months and on Similac Alimentum. She is a much happier baby now and not in pain every day.

I'm currently at 7 months exclusively pumping and plan on going to a year if my body continues to let me. I don't pump enough for all my son's bottles everyday and have to supplement a bottle of formula every couple days. With my first son I breastfeed till 10 months and dried up... I think it was from being pregnant with my second lol

8 months but we supplemented so she had enough milk to last her to a year. We ended up quitting formula at a year altogether and she was given breastmilk and norma milk until she was weaned

14 months and only stopped because I got pneumonia which forced me to dry up.  Currently pregnant with number two hoping to make it just as far if not farther with her 😄

I pumped for 6 months and made barely enough. We still had to supplement with formula a little. My baby has a lip tie and couldn’t latch right which made it way more painful than it needed to be. Pumping is just what worked out best for us
