Toothbrush Troubles

Is anyone else having trouble brushing their LO's teeth? My son HATES it. I have tried giving him a spare toothbrush while I brush his teeth, using different style brushes, singing and making a game out of it, and giving him toys or playing videos to distract him. So far, the videos works the best. He puts up a pretty good fight, but I still can manage to get his teeth brushed eventually. My main problem is his tongue. We noticed his breath was kinda starting to smell and when I looked in his mouth the back of his tongue was coated in milk. I am thinking that is where the smell is coming from. He will not let me brush or clean his tongue though. Every time I try he just curls his tongue to the back of his mouth where I can't get to it. I thought that if I gave him a spare brush to chew on and play with he may be able to get it himself, but he refuses to put them anywhere near his mouth on his own. Im at a loss here on what to do. I've even stuck my tongue out to get him to copy me, but he won't copy me if I have the toothbrush lol 🤦‍♀️

Any suggestions?
