Hope...

Is something I have had from the moment I realised I was pregnant. I realised I was pregnant the night I was told my husband might never wake up from a coma. A short version of the traumatic event: husband in bath with our two children. He took ill - we don’t know what’s caused it and it’s likely we never will. He went under the water and drowned. My daughter screamed for me and I managed to get him out the bath, blue and lifeless, and perform CPR until paramedics arrived. That night I was told he might never wake up; when I crawled into bed at 3am (COVID meant I couldn’t be with him) I thought “oh my god, I’m pregnant and they are never going to meet their daddy.” Well miracles do happen; he pulled through and despite all the stress of the past four months, baby is doing well.

I’m looking for a middle name, boy and girl, that reflects the emotions of the past few months. So far I only have Hope as an option for a girls name. I would love to hear other people’s ideas.
