Should I hit him up? (Pls bare with me since this is kinda long)
So 10 years ago, I lost my brother due to gun violence. I was talking to a guy during that time who later became my boyfriend. He was there for me since day one since my brothers passing. He came to personally share his condolences & went with me to visit my brother at his grave. He would help me decorate his grave for the holidays & was just overall a great supportive person. I was 16 & he was 17 so we were very young. We broke up when I turned 18 or 19 (can’t really remember) bc I started realizing that I wanted something more serious. He on the other hand, didn’t want to, plus I caught him trying to talk to other girls who knew me & showed me screenshots. Anyway, my brother was his sisters best friend (which we didn’t find out til after he passed & my ex saw his car & said that his sisters best friend drove that car) Sorry for going off track — well my brothers best friend/ ex’s sisters stays in contact with me still & we have follow each other on IG. We don’t ever talk about her brother, more like how my parents are doing & that she hopes to see them soon, etc. I don’t have feelings for my ex what’s so ever. I’m 26 now, married with two beautiful children, but I feel like I want to message my ex just to thank him for being there for me during my hardest/darkest times & to let him know I’ll always appreciate him for that until I die. But I’m not sure if I should or shouldn’t. I don’t want him thinking I miss him lol or anything. I also don’t know if this is maybe something I should mention to my husband bc I don’t also don’t want him to think I miss him. But it’s just something that’s been on my mind for quite some time. If you’ve read this whole post, I truly appreciate it! Any input would be great!
