Gingivostomatitis
Moms, has your child ever has this? My poor almost 2 year old came down with a case last week - fever is gone as of two days ago, and she’s eating small meals again (she has been drinking milk and water consistently, so not dehydrated), but her mouth looks just terrible, especially her gums. Her doctor thought everything should be fine as long as her fever doesn’t come back and she is eating a little bit. I’m hoping someone can share a little optimism - my heart just hurts for her, and I’m worried about whether there’s permanent damage to her gums.
And since she has lost some weight but still not eating full meals, I’m planning to give her some Pediasure until she is eating well again. Have any moms given their kids Pediasure to help them maintain or gain weight?
