Cheap insurance for new drivers??

My little sister just turned 18 & bought her first car she’s in the process of trying to get it insured and register just wanting to know a cheap option for insurance for new drivers.

Cheap isn't best and being young , assuming she needs full coverage, it will cost a bit no matter where you go. 
Her best option is to see if she can have a policy under a family members policy.

I’m an indecent insurance agent but not in Missouri. Her best bet would be to shop around and get different quotes. If she has a lien on the vehicle she will have to get full coverage, if not than she can just get liability. If she can add a parent as a driver on the policy that would save her a ton of money.

She’s considered a high Risk Drive her until she’s 25 which is exactly why they don’t rent rental cars  To anyone that’s under 25. Your best bet is to try and get under your parents insurance it will be a lot cheaper than her trying to get her own. The more number of vehicles on the policy the higher the policy will be also so your parents insurance will go up once they add another vehicle, she doesn’t need chief insurance, when it comes to insurance she want full coverage because if you have an accident depending on your state, your own insurance has to process everything first before they subrogate from the other side, depending on your insurance company they will hold you liable for the accident who’s fault it is. If you only get liability insurance that does not cover your card only covers whatever you damage to someone else’s property or vehicle. So you’d want full coverage also get gap insurance which you get From the car dealership because if you have an accident and your car is totaled, they only give you what the current value is for the vehicle not the full price, and the minute you drive off the car lot with a brand new car the car depreciates 20% right there and overtime and depreciates the value even more depending how long you have the vehicle￼. There is no need to spend a lot on a vehicle and have an expensive car payment, I never buy a car that’s more than 10 to 12,000, and then I’ll honestly I’d rather not have a car payment all together, but I’ve never paid more than 300/350 for a car payment there’s no need to spend $700 a month on a car payment plus insurance. Get a preowned certified car from Toyota or Honda, they last the longest I have both a Honda and a Toyota and they both have 260,000 miles and still working with no major issues just a usual maintenance over the time. And Toyotas are excellent in car accidents, I totaled a Hyundai Sonata and there was literally a scratch on the bumper, the plastic over the light broke but the light still worked, and the side panel popped out a little minimal damage. Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, very poorly made vehicles for car accidents. I had an accident in a Mazda. The bumper was literally Styrofoam and a piece of plastic, I could’ve died in a high speed accident I tapped a Lexus in stop and go traffic in the car crumble like a tin can and I used to race that car. I fix the car and traded it in and got the Toyota after that. Good luck.

Being a new driver means expensive insurance premiums. Also, don’t cheap out. We added my son to our plan for full coverage when he started driving, he pays his portion.

It’ll be at least 200$ for full coverage since she’s so young I know this from experience. Bought a car last year and I’m 19 now and the car note was 250 but car insurance was 420$ only a 2015 car. On my moms car insurance it was 120$ for 6 months with State Farm

are your parents able to cover it through them and just have her pay her share? as a young driver there's no cheap insurance, and if you find one it'll have awful terms. both of my cars are insured under my dad's name so the premium is much lower. our insurance comes out to an average of $133 per month, per car. my family's been insured with them for decades + other discounts like if she's a student, your parents can get a discount if she has good grades. the bar's pretty low too, i think mine accepted anything above a 3.0 lol. i just had to send them a copy of my transcript.

Don’t go based off of age necessarily. Go based off the value of the car. So if you get a cheap car that is not worth much of anything get plpd which is just so you have insurance. You will get no money for the car if something was to happen to it. If it’s worth value then get full coverage. I’m not sure what state you are in but where I am nothing about car insurance is cheap.
