Amputee Phantom Pain

Hello! I am a recent amputee as of September 20, 2020. I am a left below the knee amputee. I am just wondering if any other amputees have experienced increased phantom pain during their period??? I’m not sure if my current pain is coincidental or has to do with my period.

Thanks!

Hi, I am not an amputee I have what is called CRPS it is a nerve condition that I feel pain long after I should. A few things increase nerve pain for me. Such as lack of proper sleep, bad diet, stress, and hormones, weather, even clothing. For my condition and my age I am actually encouraged to get pregnant to put my condition in remission. If I have bad period pain and even labor pain it is unbearable my nerve damage pain is. So I do believe everything plays a factor. Hugs and hope you are able to get some reprievem

Yes, I have CRPS as well and experience mirrored pain in my other ankle sometimes, aka phantom pain. Stress and anxiety are big factors for me and temperature changes too. I'd say lessen the two and hopefully that helps. I suppose there's not much you can do about it.
