Are we still okay to be around each other? Or we should he quarantine?

I’m 16 weeks and 3 days pregnant with our rainbow. My partner and I have been really safe about masks, washing hands, etc. Today, he called and said that a coworker was exposed to covid. They said an elderly neighbor fell and paramedics couldn’t get in there to help. because of how old she is, they were so worried about her getting seriously hurt that they ran in to help and didn’t think about covid until after. She ended up testing positive for covid. My partner says he hasn’t had really close contact with them and everyone is wearing a mask. He said he’s thinking about playing it safe and sleeping in his car so that the baby and I are safe. But also keeps second guessing himself and wondering if we just sound crazy? lol
