24 hour stay after second c section??!

Alice

I recently gave birth on November 25th and I was released the following day around 11 am. I had no complications and neither did baby however I was still in so much pain. I walked around 6 hours after surgery with help from my husband. For some reason the day shift nurse told us that the night shift nurse told her we said we adamantly wanted to go home... Problem is we (my husband and I) never spoke a word like that to her. We didn't want to go home we wouldn't have said that especially after just one day after my c section.. then again the day shift nurse told us that the nurse who brought us breakfast that morning said the same thing again the problem is all I said to her was that I wanted my tray on the side table so I could reach it... My husband and I never said anything remotely close to wanting to go home. However we bended and left that day. I wished we wouldn't have I'm still in tremendous pain. When I asked the nurse if we were the last ones on the unit she said yes and that they would probably get to go home for Thanksgiving (which is was the 26th now) after we left the ward. This all seems so fishy to me and I feel like I need to tell the hospital that their staff is rushing people out early so they can go home. Am I overreacting? Has anyone ever heard of a 24 hour stay for c sections?? Please tell me what your opinions are and what I should do about it. I'm now 3 days postpartum and still in loads of pain, I just feel like the nurses did us dirty.
