Does your baby spit up more, less, or the same amount as the first couple months?

I feel like my LO spits up SO MUCH! Her pediatrician isn’t concerned because she’s gaining weight and not in pain. He said since she had tubes down her throat for about 24 hours after she was born then that could have an impact. While I agree, I feel like we should be growing out of this. Bottles, solids, doesn’t matter. We go through roughly three sets of pajamas each evening. I have to wash her jumper every day. We do breaks during feedings. Help 😫😫

My 2.5yr old was a “happy spitter”. He literally spit up all day long. He never cried, and was never gassy or colicky. super happy baby. His doctor told me it would be gone by the time he turned 1. He said the flap between his esophagus and stomach was weak and couldn’t  keep milk/food down. Well by 11 months it slowed down and by 1 it was gone. Weirdest thing in the world. 
Luckily my 7 month old is not a happy spitter but he does spit more now than he did at birth.

My first spit up all the time. I was in the same position he was getting enough down and gaining weight so it wasn't deemed an issue. He grew out of it closer to 9-12 months.

My little boy was spitting up more and more. A bit over a week ago it sort of escalated and he vomited heavily and was a bit sick and very tired all day (we think maybe an allergic reaction, will be tested in a couple of weeks). Since then he doesn’t spit up much anymore. Strange, but to me it seems that something wasn’t sitting right for him. We did stop formula and went back to breastfeeding (we were building up formula so could still go back), but unsure whether that’s it. We’ll start formula again today so we’ll see. I also cut eggs from his and my diet. Maybe try to switch something? Other formula perhaps? To me it didn’t feel ‘normal’, even though we got the same advice/remark as you: growing fine so no problem

I’m right there with you 🙃 exact same
With my son and he’s 6mo now. He spits up still a lot... he wasn’t ready for rice cereal since he still did the tongue thrust so everything ended up on his bib. Our ped says the same.. as long as he’s gaining weight and isn’t in pain he’s fine.. it will eventually go away. He even spits up the medication I used to give him but I just gave up.  We go through tons of burp cloths and clothes in general... I can totally feel you..
