The birth story of my rainbow baby πŸŒˆπŸ’™

Kassandra

I went into labor on the 21st. Started having contractions at 9:30pm. Started getting my bloody show at 3am. Went into the hospital at 8:30am. At 9:30am I was dilated to a 2 1/2. After I tested negative for covid I was sent to my own room. Contractions started to pick up and at around noon they checked me again and I was at a 5. I was given an epidural around 6 cm dilated and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was given pitocin to speed up labor. About an hour after I got it the catheter unclipped and the epidural medication was leaking on my shoulder and I started feeling contractions again. Once they fixed it I was pain free again. At 7:30 pm I was at a 9 and they broke my water. Around 8:15pm I was finally at a 10 and it was time to push! It was a long process, but at 10:19pm on November 22nd my baby boy was here! He weighed 7 pounds 14 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. He is currently 1 week and 3 days old and the love of my life. I’m forever grateful for my rainbow baby 🀍
