TW. Induction Vs D&E
Hello ladies.
I found out 4 days ago that my baby’s heart stopped beating at around 16 weeks. I have been in the hospital for over 48 hours now on rounds of Miso to try and soften my cervix so I can start contractions. They originally said the whole thing should only take about 24 hours, starting with the first pills and ending with delivery.
Fast forward to the end of day 3, and I have made no progress towards labor. So now the conversation came up about doing a D&E instead. Or, keep doing what I’m doing and wait for my body to labor.
Any opinions? Experiences of one over the other? I desperately want to give birth to him, I want to see his little body and try and get hand and footprints. But I don’t know how many days I can stay in the hospital waiting. And depending on which doctor you talk to, they have different opinions on which option is best, or more risky.
When will the grief of waiting outweigh the regret of not holding my tiny baby?
