Do I have to file taxes

I’m starting a new job next week so I’ll only be working for like three weeks before it’s January a.k.a. the new year well I have to pay taxes on those three weeks? I do my own taxes so I’m not sure if I should add it ￼

Is this your only job for 2020? Having to file taxes for the year has to do with how much total income you had not how much you got from each individual job. You can always file to be safe but if you make under a certain amount you don’t have to file, according to my quick google search if you are under 65 and make under $12400 as a single individual you do not need to file federal taxes. I would look up the requirements for your specific state also.

You would want to file if they took any withholding from u so u can get that money back, if you have dependents, etc. Many places ofded free estimates or if you do ur taxes urself then you have nothing to lose. You may also need that record for something later so i would say just do it.
