HELP! 1 yo suddenly rejecting food, advice pls

Li

My little boy has always eaten well, has three meals and two snacks a day. He started off suddenly rejecting peas but would still eat them in baby food etc so wasn’t too worried but now he won’t eat anything I cook even if I try and change it up - cut potatoes and veg smaller, make it more saucy etc - he will only eat jars of baby food from the shop or things he likes like sandwiches. He used to eat casseroles I made sometimes and that kind of thing when he was smaller.

I know it’s not a problem swallowing or anything like that cause he happily munches away on cubes of cheese, the bigger crisps you can get for toddlers and chunks of fruit. He LOVES fruit and snacks. He just won’t eat proper meals, pulls a face and spits it out then starts getting upset.

I’ve tried everything I can think of, making it fun, letting him hold the spoon and feed himself worked a tiny bit but not well, tried lots of different veg but he’ll only eat broccoli (hallelujah)

Just feeding him the shop bought stuff to get him fed at the minute but I really want us to all eat meals together and obviously it’s very expensive buying jars.

He had his jabs a week ago so I’m not sure if that’s a factor. He rejected the peas before that but it’s got worse since then... is it a phase? Should I just keep trying with normal food til he gets used to it? Should I drop snacks? Should I let him go hungry after rejecting dinner instead of making him some jar stuff? It’s so stressful right now any advice would be amazing thank you 🙏🏼
