Does husband have to take covid test before birth of child

My ob has asked me to take covid test before they induce me. But they haven’t mentioned anything about my husband. 
Did anyone’s husband take test before they could join you in the labor and delivery?

I just had my test, but my husband does not need one. He just has to wear his mask the whole time.

One of the attorneys I work with welcomed their baby about a month ago. Both he and his wife had to take a test beforehand.

I gave birth in June & neither me or my fiancé were tested. They checked temps & asked screening questions when we got there. But that’s it. We wore a mask the whole time.

I’d call your doctor and/or labor and delivery to ask. It would be a bummer to find out that he needed to once you get there. Good luck!

No. There's no way for them to bill for it so they don't do it. And, presumably, if you're negative, he most likely is too.

I gave birth h back in may, I didn't need a test, neither did my fiance, but with roaring case numbers it's pretty standard procedure now, if your is negative, they'll just ask him some screening questions.

Had my baby in September in Cali. We both had to wear mask which I couldn't through labor I ripped it off. But I was tested mu husband was not. They messed up my test and started demanding I take another one. I said fuck no cause they messed up. They really gave me no explanation they just said it was inconclusive. So they ask ibput my mask back on lol they been in the room with me for hours with out a mask and now they wanted to tell me to put it on. 
That  proved to me they were just trying to make me more uncomfortable  than I already was.

Ask your own hospital. My friend had to have a test (it was a month ago) and her boyfriend had to also. And he had to pay for the test out of his pocket.
