UPDATED: I'm back!

Da

Update:

I had my follow up with my Dr. Thrombophilia screening came back normal. NK test is still outstanding. Everything is now put on hold because my prolactin has risen more. They’re sending me for an MRI. Not the news I was hoping or expecting. Pretty disappointed.

😢

And I'm excited to be back!

As many of you know, I took a break last month and part of this month after what felt like non-stop fertility treatments.

I was in the August/September/October groups.

This is going to be a long one so bear with me :).

Background:

- 2 prior natural pregnancies both resulted in miscarriages

- One is 2018 and one this past April 2020 before starting

IVF

July:

- Retrieval

- 8 eggs, 4 fertilized, 4 embryos - not tested

August/September:

- FET with 2 embryos

- Successful but miscarriage in early October

October:

- Jumped into my 2nd FET with 1 embryo

- Failed transfer

November:

- Decided to take the month off to regroup

- Follow-up call with my RE for next steps

December:

Tests, tests and more tests...

- RPL (recurrent pregnancy loss) panel of bloodwork

- Auto-immune screening

- Thrombophilia screening

- APS (antiphospholipid) bloodwork

Still waiting for the results and call with my RE...

- Part of the testing did come back. My prolactin level was 52, so they asked me to come back on Friday for repeat bloodwork.

My new protocol for whenever my period shows up. It was supposed to be here on the 11th...

- Estradot 100 patches x4, change every 2 days (same as before)

- ASA 81mg/d (same as before)

- CPP Protocol, Claritin, Pepcid & Prednisone (NEW)

Studies have shown it's beneficial for patients with recurrent pregnancy loss.

- Intralipid protocol (NEW).

Intralipids deactivate natural killer cells in a woman's body which may prevent embryos from implanting and growing properly in the uterus.

- Fragmin protocol (NEW).

Prevent blood clots.

- A mix of Prometrium suppositories (every day) & PIO (every other day)

Stay tuned for the results from my bloodwork later this week or next.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Monday.
