Makenna and Kennedy- do they work together?

My daughters name is Kennedy and we want to name our daughter that I’m pregnant with now Makenna. THE ONLY thing is we call Kennedy ken a lot for short. Then Makenna is often shortened to Kenna. Has anyone had experience with the name Makenna? What are everyone’s thoughts? Are they to close together??

The fact the the nicknames would be matchy I would change it maybe. 
Could do maybe Mak and ken. If you changed up the nicknames it could work better.

Too close. You’d be asking for a lot of confusion. I’d also be annoyed that I didn’t get my very own name, if it were me. 
Most Makenna/McKennas I know, go by “Kenna” for short which is basically, “Ken”.
