Birth control and tender nips

Would birth control cause sore nips if you haven’t ever fully taken it like you’re supposed to? I can’t seem to always take my birth control at the same time everyday and I’ve missed way more than I’d like to admit. Honestly, I’ve missed more than I’ve taken and have basically just stopped taking it (took one Friday and haven’t taken one since and hadn’t taken one for about a week or longer prior) my nips are pretty sore and breast feel heavier. I’m trying to get to the bottom of my issue beings tests are negative. Is this possibly a common thing?
